Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for an Admixture Technician to join our team! This position will support the Pharmacy Department at our 18707 Hardy Oak Suite 320 location in San Antonio, Texas. Typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:30a - 5:00p. Note from Hiring Manager: We are looking for an independent, confident, with IV background pharmacy technician. This position will be either a level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience. What does the Admixture Technician do? (including by not limited to) Under direct supervision of a physician working within a clinic admixture room, performs the technical, nonjudgmental aspects of medication preparation. With minimal supervision, responsible for record keeping and inventory control. Tasks are subject to sequential or final verification by a registered nurse or a registered pharmacist. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Specific state law may regulate that only licensed individuals perform compounding or mixing responsibilities. As a result, certain incumbents are prohibited from said tasks.
