Operations Field Engineer (Salinas, CA)

Description:

The Operations Field Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks in various environments. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Rate: $40 - $48 / hr. w2

• Install, maintain, and repair various telecommunications equipment, including, but not limited to, fiber optic cables, copper cables, switches, routers, and modems.
• Conduct site surveys to assess network and construction requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network problems, including service interruptions and equipment failures.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment, checking connections, and updating software.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of new network equipment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while working in the field.
• Provide technical support to customers and end-users.
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.

• Experience with Microwave hardware, assembly, installation, and decommissioning.
• Basic theoretical knowledge of RF principles.
• General knowledge of telecommunications CRM / Databases.
• Knowledge of various telecommunications protocols (e.g., TCP/IP).
• Industry telecommunications certifications preferred.
• Experience implementing wireless networks.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software applications
