Value Stream Manager (Manager I, Operations Business Unit)

Position Summary

The Value Stream Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire value stream of a product family, from raw materials to finished goods. This role focuses on optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met. The Value Stream Manager leads cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and achieve strategic business objectives.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operationsof the business unit, ensuring alignment with company goals.

• Track and report business resultsand perform cost-benefit analyses.

• Monitor production KPIsand implement strategies to improve performance.

• Manage budgetsand financial planning for the business unit.

• Coordinate with other departmentsto ensure smooth operations and achieve business objectives.

• Develop and implement policies and proceduresto improve operational efficiency.

• Lead and mentor team members, fostering a positive work environment

• Direct and coordinate manufacturing operations and schedules based on sales requirements and value stream capacity.

• Lead and supervise manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain planning teams.

• Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

• Develop and execute strategic manufacturing plans to achieve company objectives.

• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Conduct fact-based analysis of current state processes and develop future state maps.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.

• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers

Experience and Skill Required

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. (preferred)

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain management. (Minimum of 5 years of experience w/ 2-3 years in a leadership role)

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently to constantly.

• Must be able to constantly stand or sit for long periods of time as necessary in the work area.
