Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Merritt Island, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Estimator will be critical in accurately determining project costs by reading and interpreting customer blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and company standards.
  • Review and interpret customer blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for machining, welding, and fabrication projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, production, and procurement, to assess project requirements and ensure alignment with capabilities and timelines.
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and overhead for bids and proposals.
  • Analyze customer requirements and develop strategies to minimize costs while meeting quality standards and delivery schedules.
  • Contribute to creative problem-solving relative to improving the company's practices and systems.
  • Ensure that all contractual requirements and deliverables are achievable.
  • Ensure the project's quality, schedule, and financial objectives are achievable.
  • Provide technical support the sales and project management teams during customer negotiations and contract discussions.
  • Ensure estimates are completed promptly and by industry standards and company processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, project specifications, and customer communications.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and pricing strategies to provide competitive and accurate estimates.
  • Perform additional duties assigned to support operational needs.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $80k / year.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week (1st shift)

Length: Temp to Direct

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project estimating in the aerospace industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in metal contract manufacturing and fabrication environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in metal machining, welding, metal-finishing, fabrication, and general assembly.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in ISO9001/AS9100 regulated environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in MRP/ERP.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Proficient use of JobBoss.
  • Experience with Paperless software.
  • Good contract and requirements review and understanding.
  • Possesses critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail with an ability to analyze complex projects and develop competitive bids.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and deliver accurate cost estimates under pressure.
  • Good communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Able to lift to 50lbs.
  • Minimal travel is needed.
