Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated End-to-End Support Strategy individual to oversee the materials management operations within our organization. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to ensure efficient and effective handling of materials throughout their lifecycle, including distribution, repair, refurbishment, resale, sparing, and recycling initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in materials management, supply chain operations, and project management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement end-to-end support strategies for materials management, including FWD/REV distribution, repair, refurbishment, resale, sparing, and recycling initiatives
  • Lead efforts to enhance supply chain sustainability by identifying opportunities for waste reduction, resource conservation, carbon footprint reduction, and sustainable sourcing practices
  • Design and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for the surplus material program, including quality control, inventory management, logistics, pricing, and customer service
  • Establish and manage relationships with external partners, such as brokers, resellers, recyclers, and charitable organizations, to market and facilitate the sale of surplus material
  • Monitor and analyze the performance and profitability of the surplus material program and provide regular reports and recommendations for improvement
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of strategic programs and initiatives, regularly monitor performance, and provide comprehensive reports to senior management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and objectives for materials management processes and initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within materials management operations
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials, as well as to negotiate favorable terms and pricing
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, customers, and external partners
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to materials management and sustainability
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of materials management professionals, including training, coaching, and performance management
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in materials management, supply chain operations, or related field, with at least 5years of experience
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to materials management and sustainability
  • Experience with inventory management systems and software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and objectives
