Post Doctoral Associate - Bean Lab Med-Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - ( 24007588 ) The Musculoskeletal Regenerative Rehabilitation Laboratory (MMRL), under the direction of Allison Bean, MD, PhD, is accepting applications for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our growing team. The MRRL is a Core laboratory in the Bethel Musculoskeletal Research Center, a diverse, multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists performing cutting-edge basic and translational research to improve treatment for musculoskeletal diseases. A successful candidate will work on mechanistically driven projects exploring the potential of extracellular vesicles for tissue repair using in vitro and rodent in vivo models. Candidates must be able to work independently and will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments, presenting at scientific conferences, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and applying for appropriate internal or external funding opportunities. The candidate can expect to receive mentoring from a diverse group of faculty and will be encouraged to participate in career development activities, including grant writing, mentorship, and research program management. Prior experience with the following techniques is desirable: aseptic cell culture, western blot, immunoassays, PCR, histology, microscopy (epifluorescence/confocal), image analysis, and small animal handling and/or surgery.
