JOB SUMMARY

The Auditor, Quality Assurance, ASG under the leadership of the Manufacturing Manager and/or Senior Manager, Operational Excellence will support the process to satisfy new and current customer demands for automotive accessories by ensuring high rates of quality goods are available for sales to Customers. The Auditor will (1) work with the Senior Manager, Operational Excellence to develop a comprehensive quality program for all product lines, (2) support production through designing quality checks, performing random quality checks and logging defects found, and (3) help create a product line specific pass/fail criteria rubric for training the entire ASG Associate team. The Auditor also will take action to enhance cross-functional coordination and expand internal communications in the ASG.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Reliable, consistent, on-site attendance is a requirement. This position requires punctuality and dependable attendance in order to meet the needs of the business; including attending and participating in meetings and presentations.
  • Support the development of and execution of ASG's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Audit product and processes daily.
  • Support product launches - evaluating products for future non-conformances, creating robust process to ensure quality inspections elicit valuable, actionable data.
  • Escalate to Manufacturing Manager/Sr. Manager, Operational Excellence of any recurring quality problems.
  • Create, execute and discuss quality alerts and bulletins with the ASG Hourly Associates.
  • Ensure all gages, fixtures, and templates that are in use are calibrated and controlled.
  • Provide periodic updates on Quality performance and Improvement plans to management.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Manager to training associates on correct or new processes.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associate's degree from an accredited College or university strongly preferred; plus 3-4 years of related automotive experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to collect, document, comprehend and analyze business data efficiently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SmartSheet and Odoo (or similar ERP system).

  • Excellent Organization, Prioritization Skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.
  • Resourceful problem solver who can quickly adjust to change.
  • Problem solving skills (A3, 5W1H, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
