Staff Research Associate / Laboratory Manager Pediatrics - Neonatology Full Time 82084BR Job Summary The Piao Lab at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) is a vibrant, medium sized basic science laboratory studying neuroimmune signaling and its role in brain development, neuropsychiatric diseases, and neurodegeneration. We are part of the Department of Pediatrics and the Weill Institute for Neuroscience, in the brand-new Weill Neurosciences Building on the Mission Bay campus of UCSF. The lab currently has one research scientist, 6 postdoctoral fellows, one graduate student, and three technical staff performing experiments in mice, human cells, and brain organoids, with the long-term goal of discovering new immune based therapies for disorders including autism, schizophrenia, and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's Disease. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $30.89 - $49.68 (Hourly Rate).
