As the Materials Director for Watts Applied Solutions, you will oversee Supply Chain, Materials Management, and Logistics functions across three main manufacturing sites (TX, NY, FL). Your responsibilities include SIOP/S&OP, tactical buying, planning, inventory management, and material/product distribution to meet the company and customer requirements. Managing approximately $350M+ in revenue and $90M+ of direct material spend, you will report to the VP of Operations and lead teams in promoting a culture of excellence.

You Will:

  • Oversee production control planning to meet sales forecasts and balance workforce and material requirements.

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries while minimizing costs and premium transportation charges.

  • Lead and enhance the Demand Planning and Sales & Operations Planning (SIOP/S&OP) processes across the platform.

  • Implement and maintain ERP and Demand Planning systems for improved efficiency and data accuracy.

  • Design and track KPIs using BI, AI, and ML for performance benchmarking and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to forecast new product timelines and sales.

  • Develop policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs and streamline operations.

  • Work with the Corporate Global Quality team to ensure supplier quality metrics align with DEI, ESG, and PPM goals.

  • Manage and motivate your team to achieve performance and professional growth objectives.

  • Oversee supplier quality and performance, including cost-effective procurement and inventory control of production materials.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in lean materials management in high SKU, high-volume environments.

  • Multi-site experience.

  • Proven experience in managing and developing teams within the purchasing and materials function, with a focus on implementing pull systems in alignment with Operations functions.

  • CPM Certification.

  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
