The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Project Manager on our Owner's Engineer team for utility scale solar and wind power generation projects. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of the project in a cost-effective manner, in accordance with requirements and standards as set forth in the project contract(s) and UPDM (Ulteig Project Delivery Method). The successful candidate must have experience managing complex projects, contracts, and clients. This position is open to remote locations.

What You'll Do



  • Provide strategic project management leadership for large and complex renewable projects, with little to no supervision
  • Responsible for the overall management of the project scope, schedule, and cost
  • Accountable for key project decision making
  • Manages a collaborative project team to ensure each key functional project discipline is meeting the planned project scope, schedule, and cost
  • Lead overall project - coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation
  • Responsible for leading project meetings
  • Point person for contract negotiation, management, and proposal development
  • Accountable to develop, update and manage the project plan
  • Coordinate communication and provides status updates to stakeholders as required
  • Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans
  • Proactively manages project requests for information and action items
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Controls team to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan
  • Responsible for leading projects through all internal and external processes
  • Ensure availability or seeks out adequate resources to support the project
  • Provide feedback to project development team and assist on project proposals
  • Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations to support project scope, schedule, and cost objectives
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Consistently produces results that meet goals, has high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes
  • Achieves results by problem solving, setting priorities and organization
  • Maintains customer focus to meet or exceed customer expectations and represent Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner
  • Strives for individual excellence by seeking challenges and self -development, demonstrating high levels of expertise and showing commitment, self-confidence and integrity


What We Expect from You



  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required
  • 5 or more years of project management experience is required
  • Direct project management experience with utility and/or renewable energy projects, preferably utility scale projects
  • PMP Certification Preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Project and/or P6 preferred
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
  • Ability to adapt the various client needs and requirements
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrate the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities
  • Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required
  • Ability to read and understand construction and procurement contracts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict negotiation/resolution and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Must be able to travel to project sites as required
  • Ensure adherence to Safety policies
  • Ensure adherence to client's Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs
  • Report, track, and resolve non-conformance issues in coordination with QA/QC
  • Must have permanent work authorization for the US

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $125,400 - $169,600
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
