The current base salary range for this position is $74,100-$94,300 . The applicant will contribute to understanding of cannabis agriculture in California. Focal research areas shall include:
Research Duties:
The candidate is expected to contribute to original peer-reviewed research articles demonstrating substantial leadership and contributions to the field. The candidate shall also aid in acquiring and managing funding to support the research program. They will be responsible for co-writing proposals for funding from federal and state agencies and other funding organizations, helping to satisfy reporting requirements requested by funders, and assisting in managing budgets and projects following sound project management principles. The candidate will collaborate with a network of scientists, conservationists, and the public to integrate scientific knowledge of cannabis to inform policies and education/outreach programs. Professional activities shall include participation in professional societies and conferences appropriate to their field. Organization of and participation in public meetings and workshops, and serving on technical advisory committees is encouraged. Qualifications Basic qualifications
