Overview

Come join Highgate for the summer in one of our dynamic internships!

The Sales & Marketing Intern is responsible for sales administrative and marketing responsibilities, and other duties to assist in the operation of Sales/Catering/Marketing.

This Internship is for Summer 2025.



Responsibilities

    Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Answer telephone and email messages. Respond accordingly.
  • Maintain and stay abreast of the latest computer programs/innovations (as applicable).
  • Responsible for assisting in a smooth operation of the office.
  • Greet guests/clients/employees when necessary.
  • Attend meetings/training as required by management.
  • Distributing of BEO's daily change log, resume, site events, event guarantees if requested
  • Take inquires and distribute
  • Work with Delphi FDC and ONQ PMS


Qualifications

  • Currently studying for a Bachelor's degree, Graduate degree, or equivalent.
  • 1 year experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Applicants must also have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving and problem identification.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret revenue performance data.
  • Extensive proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required and the ability to manipulate data
